Nick Boldt commented on JBTIS-288:
----------------------------------
FYI about how the technology for tagging/keywords works in Marketplace:
We added a couple of words to the description and free tagging fields for
https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/jboss-tools-kepler and this is the result:
*Word in the Solution Description field*:
https://marketplace.eclipse.org/search/site/cirbaf WORKS
*Word in the Free Tagging field*
https://marketplace.eclipse.org/category/free-tagging/lemac WORKS
https://marketplace.eclipse.org/search/site/lemac WORKS
Takes a few hours for the indices to refesh, it would seem. Haven't pinpointed the
minimum time required so let's just call it 12 hours for now.
(Note that "cirbaf" and "lemac" are fabric and camel, backwards, and
have both since been removed from the JBT 4.1 (Kepler) connector.)
Advertise IS within JBT/JBDS entries on Eclipse Marketplace

Key: JBTIS-288
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBTIS-288
Project: JBoss Tools Integration Stack
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: distribution
Affects Versions: 4.1.4.Final, 7.0.1.GA-JBDSIS, 4.2.0.Alpha1
Reporter: Nick Boldt
It has been suggested that the IS needs better exposure on the Eclipse Marketplace.
Two approaches have been considered:
a) providing an entry for the IS content separate from the JBT or JBDS entry, which would
be backed by a URL which contains BOTH JBT/JBTIS or JBDS/JBDSIS content, so that the IS
features can be installed into a vanilla Eclipse
b) adding a blurb + keywords/tags/categories to the existing JBT/JBDS entries in order to
let people know that once JBT/JBDS is installed, they can find the IS content from within
JBoss Central.
