The debug function enables user who are developing forge add-ons (basically the automated forge commands) to debug their commands. The forge debug function does not enable users to debug their applications. I think that we should shelve this article and focus on the other two that are in progress: TOOLSDOC-533, TOOLSDOC-534. However, in this document there is useful information about enabling debugging for servers and how to add breakpoints to code.
