The FindBugs project is dead since 2015. The successor is https://spotbugs.github.io/ Another Static code analysis program is SonarLint which can be bind with Sonarcloud.io. Would be nice to update the development documentation to suggest using a more up-to-date tooling (personal preference is SonarLint)
