Nick Boldt commented on JBDS-3362:
----------------------------------
What version of Windows? Which JDK did you use to install? Which JDKs are installed (whole
list) ?
Were there any details in the console log to explain why the install failed and why a
rollback/uninstall was required?
Can you launch JBDS to see more info?
{code} ./jbdevstudio.exe -debug -consolelog{code}
Is your d:\ drive read-only or in some way locked down? Are you logged in as an
administrator? If not, was JBDS installed by an administrator account?
If you install on c:\ instead of d:\ does the problem still occur? (Eclipse is known to
have some weird issues with Windows on drives other than the root drive (c:\ ~= /). )
I would guess that the rollback failed because JBDS can't find JBDS 8.0.0 on the JBDS
8 update site (it only contains 8.0.2).
But I'd like to know why installation failed - twice.
