Koen Aers commented on JBIDE-5951:
----------------------------------
It is actually because the preferences are read from a different plugin
(org.jboss.tools.jbpm.common as opposed to org.jbpm.gd.jpdl previously) as a result of the
unification of the jbpm3 and jbpm4 plugins. I don't know what the most elegant way of
solving this is. I cannot make the org.jboss.tools.jbpm.common read files in the
org.jbpm.gd.jpdl plugin as this creates a circular dependency. I see two solutions
- if there is a way to do a one-time transfer preferences between plugins at the first
startup, this would be ideal; I am not aware of such a mechanism, but maybe someone else
is?
- I could try to read the preferences from the org.jbpm.gd.jpdl plugin first, if I find
anything transfer it to the org.jboss.tools.jbpm.common plugin and then delegate to this
last one.
jBPM3 runtime from JBDS 2.1.1 workspace is missing when opened in
3.0.0 CR2

https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBIDE-5951

Components: jbpm
Affects Versions: 3.1.0.CR2
Environment: JBDS 3.0.0 CR2 184, Linux 32
Reporter: Jiri Peterka
Assignee: Koen Aers
Priority: Critical

Attachments: ws-3-missing-jbpm-iibs.png
When workspace with jbpm3 project created in JBDS 2.1.1 GA is opened in JBDS 3.0.0 CR2,
there is missin jbpm3 runtime setting.
Assumption is jbpm3 runtime setting set in 2.1.1 should be available when opened in
3.0.0.
