I committed this to plugin customization:

When i comment it out it shows the buildid on the splashscreen - but it says unknown build
id so I haven't enabled it yet.
should we ? and if yes, where/how is the buildid set at buildtime ?

shouldn't we enable this at least for nightly and other non-release builds ? Even
better have it part of the version number we show on the splashscreen so its all just

I believe this is a special property "eclipse.buildId" which is set in the
customization.ini or somewhere similar, let me see if i can dig it up... we *should* bet
setting this
