...but I have to reopen this anyway because it does not work very well.
When you try to download e.g. EAP 6.1, you get the the last page of the dialog:
!eap-download.png!
Why are the Install and Download folders even there when you have to download it manually
via browser? It's confusing. And also, with other servers you expect the tooling to
download it for you - this dialog looks no different - the user should be told that he
needs to download manually by clicking the link, it's not obvious.
And if I actually click the link, I land on
access.redhat.com login page, I log in and am
told that I don't have permission to download that software.
But if I go to
http://www.jboss.org/jbossas and click the right-hand side banner, EAP 6.1
starts downloading immediately.
This last thing may actually deserve its own JIRA since this JIRA is about supporting such
downloads at all. If you feel that way, feel free to ask for another JIRA. But the other
points are relevant here I believe.

Support DownloadRuntimes with no download url
---------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-15053
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-15053
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: runtime-detection, server
Affects Versions: 4.1.0.CR1
Reporter: Fred Bricon
Assignee: Rob Stryker
Priority: Blocker
Labels: respin-a
Fix For: 4.1.0.CR1
Attachments: eap-download.png
EAP runtimes defined in stacks don't show up as download runtimes. They don't
have a download url but have a human readable url. As in JBDS 6 (in central), they should
appear as a valid choice and display the human url so the user can manually go and install
the runtime.
I also noticed that if the download url is missing the download runtime wizard refuses to
finish (url not valid error). It should close without any error.
