Nick Boldt commented on JBDS-2768:
----------------------------------
For the moment, I'm assuming this JIRA was more about splitting the information re:
JBT and JBDS scripted installation across two separate sites, rather than mixing the
content/streams (as I'd had before), and that links to the scripts will appear in the
JBDS 7.1 doc rather than needing to be on the
devstudio.jboss.com site.
If that is in error, and/or ...
* you would like the Early Access page template to include a link to this new scripted
install page, and/or ...
* you'd like the existing JBDS 6 or 7 EA pages to link to this new page...
please open a new JIRA for that specific request, or just reopen this one with details on
what you need done.
Installer scripts should be linked from jbdevstudio

Key: JBDS-2768
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-2768
Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
Issue Type: Enhancement
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: installer
Affects Versions: 7.1.0.Alpha1
Reporter: Michelle Murray
Assignee: Nick Boldt
Fix For: 7.1.0.Beta1
Attachments: JBDS2768_simplified.png
Currently availability of scripts is listed on community site:
https://www.jboss.org/tools/download/installation/update_4_1#fromscript
*Update: link to JBDS scripted install is no longer on the community site.*
*Update: new JBDS scripted install page is here:*
https://devstudio.jboss.com/usage/scripted-install/
Given that the instructions are for JBDS, the sites should be devstudio sites. For
example, availability stated here:
https://devstudio.jboss.com/earlyaccess/7.0.0.GA.html
And linking to scripts on same base URL.
If we want to have scripts on community site then they should only be for headless JBT
install.
