oh, there're one step more to reproduce it. I´ve just checked that the dependency jar
should be generated by a project on the same workspace. it seems that this way, it's
tied as a webapp library. I've tested with seamfaces outside this context and it's
working well, indeed. but if seam-faces project is on my workspace it does not.

Ok. I reproduced the bug. If ProjectWeb-A depends on ProjectJAR-B then ProjectWeb-A
doesn't see composite components declared in ProjectJAR-B.
BTW make sure that Validation builder is the last one in the list of the builders.
Otherwise you will have some problems with CDI validation. See JBIDE-9021 for details.

If ProjectJAR-B has kb nature and builder, then everything works.
The only case not implemented is when ProjectJAR-B is a bare Java project, with no kb
nature and builder.
Currently, kb builder builds only project to which it is attached, it does not look into
projects on which it depends, if those projects have kb builders, they are built
separately, and results of build are shared with dependent project.
We can compare this situation with the following. Suppose you have two projects
JavaProject depends on SimpleProject, where JavaProject has Java builder, and
SimpleProject have no builders at all. Nobody expects that JavaProject will be aware of
java sources in SimpleProject, even if it has the structure of a Java project. No Java
builder means no Java model objects for dependent projects. In the same way now: no KB
builder on a project means no KB model objects for dependent projects.
However, while Java model nature and builder are well-known, KB model nature and builder
are internal and there is no way for user to fix the problem other than by adding them
into .project manually. So let us include into consideration sources of Java projects
without KB nature, used by current KB project.

I have tried what I have suggested above, and it works but without auto incremental build,
because changes in Java project ProjectJAR-B have no way to kick KB builder on KB project
ProjectWeb-A. Full rebuild of ProjectWeb-A helps, until next change in project
ProjectJAR-B.
Let us consider all possible solutions with advantages and drawbacks.
1. Add KB nature and builder automatically without user's control wherever it is
required by tools.
Advantage: Everything will work perfectly (with bugs to fix, of course).
Drawback: User will have no way to get rid of our tool interference which may be
annoying.
2. Create automatically non-updating KB model, and add marker with quick-fix adding kb
nature, or other nature that incorporates kb. We do that now, but only for some
old-fashioned projects that have some JBoss tools nature but have no kb nature or builder,
case of this issue is not covered but might be.
Advantage: Everything is under user's control.
Drawback: User has to read his manual very carefully, before he understands why some
features are not enabled in his workspace.
3. Parse src's of used Java project by kb builder of dependent kb project (which I
discussed in previous comment).
Advantage: No need to add kb builder to a Java project, if only user agrees to rebuild
manually his dependent project after changes to the Java project.
Disadvantages: It is grossly against Eclipse practices. No solution for true incremental
build.
4. Add enablement/disablement of KB to Preferences and project Properties. Under general
check-box, we can place more options that allow to adjust project's kb features to be
enabled, e.g. enable/disable building (a) facelets (b) composite components, etc. Also, we
can have preference 'Auto enable kb capabilities when needed by tools' - that will
cover Solution 1 above while providing user with control.
Advantages: covers all advantages of previous solutions.
Disadvantages: Same as in solution 2.

I think #4 makes sense - adding a way to explicitly control KB (Knowledge Base); but auto
enable is dangerous I would rather have KB validator put warning markers for direct

Project with KB that depends on that Java. I would prefer to put marker on Web project,
because it has (potential) problems, and its builder detects them. In general, I think

I removed loading sources of ProjectJAR (used project) by kb builder of ProjectWeb
(dependent project). Instead, ProjectWeb gets problem marker notifying that it depends on
a non kb project, and kb model is created for ProjectJAR, which contributes model objects
into ProjectWeb as if ProjectJAR is a kb project, but which is never updated because it is
actually not kb project. When problem marker is resolved by adding kb nature to
ProjectJAR, its model starts to be updated by builder.
jboss should be able to code complete a composite component and its
attributes.

I attached two projects, one which would be a component library, and one webapp that uses
the lib.
In webapp there's a index.xhtml with a namespace that uses a composite component
through taglib declaration and one namespace that uses directly from META-INF/resources. I
suppose that both should have autocomplete (suggestion feature) but none works.
Any doubts about the project, I'll be available at #jbosstools.

It appears that after all fixes to this issue and induced issue JBIDE-9420, loading of
jsf2 resources from Java source folders was finally lost. Now we load from Java source
folders TLD, JSF config files, facelet tag libraries, even some myfaces staff, but not
composite components required by this issue. Let's open new issue for the undone job
to separate it from what was completed for 3.3.0.M3.
