---------------------------------------
Thanks for that info [~maxandersen]. It dawned on me overnight that I didn't do the
6.0.0 docs so that was a red herring.
You're right that it's a 'my system' issue. I couldn't follow the step
you cited - they were from a F13 user. But they did enable me to do some further google
searching. I had to use gnome-tweak-tool then Theme > Menus Have Icons = ON. All fixed
now. How pretty the IDE (and other apps) is with menu icons!
No menu icons

Key: JBDS-2982
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-2982
Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Affects Versions: 7.0.0.GA, 7.0.1.GA, 7.1.0.GA, 7.1.1.GA, 8.0.0.Beta1
Environment: For 8.0.0.Beta1 = Fedora 19, 64-bit, java version
"1.7.0_51", OpenJDK Runtime Environment (fedora-2.4.5.0.fc19-x86_64 u51-b31)
For 7.x = Fedora 18
Reporter: Michelle Murray
Using 8.0.0.Beta1 today I noticed that there are no content menu icons. All menus
(including File>New, OpenShift Explorer context, Servers Context) have just lists of
menu options with no associated icons. For example, I don't see any of the icons in
the screen caps in JBIDE-15801. Very plain and dull :(
Looking back over the docs, I notice that the same issue was present in JBDS 7.x. But
menu icons were present in JBDS 6.0.0.
