Choice would be sticky, so that power users could keep using the regular maven archetype page without having to reselect the advanced wizard every time.

About the check for -redhat, I was thinking checking for the existence of org.jboss.spec:jboss-javaee-web-6.0:3.0.0.Beta1-redhat-1 (artifact GAV read from plugin.properties). If EAP runtime + missing redhat dependency => display a warning (error) with a link to an external page explaining how to set up the repos. Some page like : http://documentation-stage.bne.redhat.com/docs/en-US/JBoss_Web_Framework_... (or another more "public" one)

A simplified UI is available for maven archetype based project examples. The user justs has to set a project name and package to get started. -Denterprise=true is sent to the archetype if the selected runtime is an EAP server, false otherwise.
