Andre Dietisheim commented on JBIDE-11222:
------------------------------------------
Basically this drills down to not authenticating a user account that was given from the
console. This could happen with the existing widgets (if user or pw are not change,
we'd not authenticate). The dialog you propose would be a further improvement. I'd
like to have max commenting on the basic concern, that we might not validate an existing
account.
Just to make it clear once more: Most users will not invoke the wizard from the console,
they will invoke it from the new wizards (File->New->Other->OpenShift) or
central. The Express console is not visible initially. You then have no account that was
selected previous and we have to offer the user the chance to indicate an account. Even
when started from the console, one should get the chance to change the user bein used.
You'd have to close the wizard, select another user in the console and restart the
wizard.
Dont force users to sign in again if they already have created their
account in the OpenShift Express Console

Key: JBIDE-11222
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-11222
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: openshift
Affects Versions: 3.3.0.Beta1
Reporter: Lucia Jelinkova
Assignee: Lucia Jelinkova
Priority: Critical
Fix For: 3.3.0.CR1
Attachments: account_selection.gliffy, account_selection.png
At the moment, even if you create an account in the OpenShift Console view and store the
credentials, you are forced to verify them during creation of a new application, importing
of existing application and creation of a new server runtime. Is it possible to have just
"single sign on" similar to the way the team repositories works? It would prompt
for password only in case the user didn't store it in secure storage.
There might be of course problem in case there are more accounts. In that case there
could be added the possibility to select one from existing accounts.
