This issue has been partially fixed within JBIDE-9774. The is committed to the trunk and
3.3.0.M4 branch.
and optimally users should be able to say which root directory they
want projects downloaded by an example goes to.
Since the standard Eclipse Import>Existing Projects into Workspace action doesn't
enable a user to change the destination location, I suppose we also don't have to do
that.
If you still think differently, please reopen this jira.
BTW
I have chosen a location to unpack an archive since m2e doesn't provide importing a
project from any archive.
