Tom Fennelly commented on JBIDE-5320:
-------------------------------------
Not sure how hard it is to fix.... the trick is creating the sample input i.e.
constructing a sample Java object model that can be passed in as the input. You can't
specify this, like say an XML or CSV sample.
I def agree that the "from java" use case is common enough, but in my
experience, it's less common than "from" XML, CSV and EDI (more common than
JSON - I've not heard of anyone doing that, but we can support it for free anyway :)
). So, of course I'd like us to be able to support it, but I would have thought it
less critical than the XML and Java Binding related issues/gaps we currently have.
Smooks Run As... Java input data not being picked up
-----------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-5320
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBIDE-5320
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: smooks
Affects Versions: 3.1.0.CR1
Reporter: Brian Fitzpatrick
Assignee: Tom Fennelly
Priority: Critical
Fix For: 3.1.0.CR2
Original Estimate: 0 minutes
Remaining Estimate: 0 minutes
For the java-to-java sample, when I tried to test it I get: "Specified Smooks
configuration 'Input' task is configured with a sample input file, but the file
cannot be found. Please reconfigure the 'Input' task in the Process flow."
in the Run Configuration.
I don't think it's seeing the Java class specified as the sample input data.
