Nick Boldt commented on JBDS-838:
---------------------------------
Based on the title of this JIRA, I expect we only need a place to archive JBDS from
http://reports.qa.atl.jboss.com/binaries/RHDS/builds/nightly/; JBoss Tools can live on
download.jboss.org and
sourceforge.net.
Current space usage can be obtained by looking into the folder:
[19:48:15] nboldt@qa01:~/RHDS/builds/nightly
$ du -sch *
17G 3.0.2.GA
19G 4.0.0.M2
57G trunk
93G total
Builds run at most once every 6 hours. A given build occupies about 6.4G of disk space.
They are purged nightly (or weekly?) so that disk usage is kept low (limited to last good
3 builds).
Disk transfer (bandwidth) will depend on how often you rsync - once every 6 hrs? daily? Is
the intent to replace reports.qa, or simply to provide a Europe-friendly mirror? If the
former, then expect 24G/day. If the latter, then it depends on the frequency with which
you rsync.

Key: JBDS-838
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-838
Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
Issue Type: Task
Components: Build
Affects Versions: 3.0.0.M4
Reporter: Max Andersen
Assignee: Dominik Pospisil
Priority: Critical
Fix For: 4.0.0.Beta1
For a while we have been archiving at an QA server located in ATL which is now in PHO but
it only gives about 40 kb/s download from europe.
Moving it to porkchop would help here since the main site has 80 kb/s and can be mirrored
to Brno giving 120 kb/s.
End result: 10-24hrs download times gets reduced to 1-2 hrs download for European devs.
