IMHO the current behavior is correct. The user gets an error dialog (see screenshots) that
tells him that the instance could not be started. The details tell him that the cause was
an error unmarshalling the server response.

the root cause is a bug in the deltacloud server (stopped instances may not be (re)started
on ec2. Deltacloud falsely report start to be available on instances that are stopped).
