With my tweak, I was able to:
1) Type in your https url (which still automatically checks the "prompt for basic
authentication" box since it's "https")
2) Uncheck the Prompt box
3) Execute the GET call
And I received a response, as you can see in the screen shot.
If we need a different behavior around https and authentication, let me know.

In JBDS6 Beta1, the Web Services Tester turns on Basic Auth on a GET request, even when
it is not needed and not requested.
