Michelle Murray commented on JBIDE-14018:
-----------------------------------------
[~adietish]: Your suggestion looks suitable.
Ultimately, it would be good if users had a choice to input their own commit message. I
love how server adapter does the whole commit, git push and upload to the server but I
would like to be able to add my own commit message.
Under preferences, users could select to have a generic message for *all* commits or to
input their own message at *each* commit.
Additionally, under preferences, the user could choice to customize the generic message
that will be applied to all commits. So the default could be as you have suggested but
users could change this message to something more meaningful for themselves (such as
commit by JBDS or JBT) that would be applied to all commits.
OpenShift commit message references JBoss Tools
-----------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-14018
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-14018
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: openshift
Affects Versions: 4.1.0.Alpha2
Reporter: Michelle Murray
Assignee: Michelle Murray
Priority: Minor
Attachments: commit_from_JBT.png
In Servers tab, when you right-click on an OpenShift server adapter and click Publish, an
automatic commit message is generated: "Commit from JBoss Tools".
This message references JBoss Tools - for JBDS it should mention JBDS. I realise it is
difficult to have a different message for JBT and JBDS so I guess the message needs to be
changed to not reference either.
