First time when I open editor I can't guess what is wrong, how it possible to inter
right query - I try to find right combination and spend some time to find right one. For
me it seems usefull... As I admit - it will be possible (should be) switch it of via
Window -> Preferences -> ...
If you are using it several times - yes it could be annoying.
But if you use it first time - it look like you should use some language which syntax you
don't know.
At least you should know why this editor should be useful - but imagine that you are
novice at hibernate...
Ordinarily novices use GUI things as a good start with technology...
Espesially example 2 - for me it seems absolutly unobvious... session variable...

editor is ok by me...putting the comment in there is not since
a) it will be obnoxious the second time you open the editor
b) hql does not support comments

I don't believe in pointing out things that should be obvious for someone using
hibernate.
Adding the code for the crtieria similar as for hql is fine for me as long as it is
context sensitive to what the user has selected.

organize selected propertiesand make default query like this:
