Sergey Kurenkov commented on JBIDE-1469:
----------------------------------------
Current implementation of View editor affects editing xhtml/html/jsp files in terms of
performance and stability. It takes some time to open new file even user is not planning
to use any Visual features. Errors in Visual editor might affect standard usage of Source
tab.
So to make this part of functionality more robust Visual editor must be decoupled from
standard source editor as much as possible. Adding configuration parameter which allows to
turn Visual editor On or Off will be appropriate solution to avoid performance overhead in
case of Visual part of functionality is not used.

Project: JBoss Tools
Issue Type: Feature Request
Affects Versions: 2.0.0.GA
Reporter: Denis Golovin

Some developers ask about option to disable visual editor in JBossTools JSP/XHTML/HTML
editor. But the better way to use source Tab editor to create separate JSP editor that has
the same functionality but has no visual part.
