Barry, I think the value is taken into account when you press Finish, but when you reopen
the same Instance checkbox value isn't restored to previous state (it always checked).
So this is just a ui problem.

Dmitry, would your expectation be that a specific restored checkbox value would be
remembered for each Teiid instance or just one value will be remembered based on the last
time the wizard was executed? Obviously, the solution for the former is much more involved

I just created a SQL Server CP and unchecked the "Connect when the wizard
completes", then Finished.
Tried a second new CP and it comes up with the box CHECKED, so it's not persisting
this as a Dialog setting.

It should be, but this sounds like a bug. Go ahead and create a bugzilla entry for DTP
Connectivity and I'll see if I can get it fixed for the upcoming 1.8.2 release

Brian, I don't think there is a bug in DTP.
In DTP there are 2 comboboxes:
1. "Connect when the wizard completes" - it doesn't save state (always
checked for new Connection Profile(CP)) and it is not present on existing CP properties.
So not interested in it.
2. "Connect every time workbench is started" - it saves state for existing
connection profile, but always unchecked for new CP. - I guess Teiid Instance check box
should work in this way.
