Martin Malina commented on JBIDE-17126:
---------------------------------------
I would like to add that this probably does not affect maven projects as they don't
use runtimes for classpath entries. So they don't need the runtime to be bound to the
java facet and you're free to set up the facet to any version you like regardless of
your target runtime.
Add support for 1.8 java facet to JBoss runtimes

Key: JBIDE-17126
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-17126
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: server
Affects Versions: 4.2.0.Beta1
Reporter: Martin Malina
Assignee: Rob Stryker
Fix For: 4.2.0.Beta2
Currently you cannot use java 1.8 facet for WildFly 8 runtime.
I'm not actually sure if WildFly 8.0 will support java 8 or it's only in 8.1.
Also, we're still not certain if we need a new server/runtime type for 8.1 - perhaps
if 8.0 does not support java 8 and 8.1 does, that's one reason to have them separate?
