No Dmitry, I tried it once again and the error log is absolutely clean. However, I noticed
that when I click on the project in Hibernate console it says " Persistence unit not
found: 'null'. ". Now I guess this is problem of the generated project, what
do you think?

Have you tried to click Browse near Persistence Unit name field and select the persistence
unit name?
BTW. It seems I have found a bug there, and this should help you:
1. Set persistence unit name
2. makeProperty file field empty
3. go to warproject\WebContent\WEB-INF\dev\META-INF\ and replace the persistence.xml with
actual one (which is located in src/main/META-INF)
Console configuration should build ok. (but probably you'll need to update the
persistence.xml by hands)

When you work with the wizard it could hide some exceptions and show only some pure
message. That is why it is better to try to expand console configuration in the Console
Configuration view and look into error log - it should provide more information ( about
your " Persistence unit not found: 'null'. " message)

Hm... I did the following:
1. New->Seam web project (go through all the steps, only added Potgresql connection
profile)
2. Copied all your src folder there
and console configuration builds successfully.
This means that the structure of your project is broken, for example I didn't find
persistence.xml file there (there are -dev, prod and test versions).
Make sure META-INF\persistence.xml is in class path at the time of building console
configuration.

Thank you for your help Dmitry. I already know where the problem is. If you look at the
PersistenceUnitNotFound.png you can see that there is JPA (jdk1.5+) checked. I recently
checked the "Core" option and it now works like a charm. I also tried JBDS
(4.0.0 Beta1) right now and the option "Core" is automatically checked there as
opposed to JBossTools with Eclipse. That's why it didn't work for me now, I always
test JBDS and didn't know about that. Anyway, the JPA option is not supposed to work
im my type of project, right? Thanks once again.

Well, you were right with the warproject.launch file. The "Core" option was
there and was carried over to the JBDS. However, there is still a problem: The
"JPA" option works just fine in JBDS as I found out just now. I have two IDEs
opened at the same time, the one and only project is imported into the both IDEs
(Eclipse+JBossTools and JBDS) and in JBDS it's OK (I can open the hibernate
configuration and see the tables in the database) while in JBossTools the hibernate
configuration says "Could not create JPA based Configuration". And this is
really weird.

Do you use the same workspace at the same time? How this could be? Eclispe doesn't
allow to do this. Or you use the same project (import without copiing)? In this case one

The same happens when I create a new Seam Web Project with JBoss Tools. I have to set the

javax.persistence.validation.mode=none
to the hibernate<something>.properties file ?
This should force validator to not to load.
If you can verify that we will make that a default from within the tools just like we do

Verified in JBDS 4.0.0.beta2 h12, Fedora 14,64b. JPA configuration is working for this
seam gen example after some runtime configurations modifications and after moving
persistence.xml into appropriate location now.
