So the patch adds the "Configuration" section to the wizard page, which enables
you to specify a facet configuration and customize as needed.
I didn't notice any change based on the Default or Minimal configurations when
selected. Is there a benefit to being able to change them to something other than
"Custom"?
Also, will your average user know to check the Java level for the facet by clicking the
"Modify" button.
I guess I'm wondering how this solves the issue if it makes things more complex for
the user.

Ok, I think this is much closer to a workable solution, but I have more questions. The
default preset makes a lot of sense to simplify things.
What happens if you're in a JDK 5 environment and you default to a 6.0 java facet
version? We're still out of sync and the user would need to know to change the facet.
Is there any way to determine the Java version for the Eclipse workbench and set the facet
version accordingly?

Denny, after talking to Max it looks like we want the following:
1) Apply the patch (JBIDE-5916.V2.patch) from JBIDE-5916 to org.jboss.ide.eclipse.as.core.
This fixes the default facet associated with EAP 5.
2) Apply your first patch (JBIDE-6056.patch) from this JIRA to allow users to modify the
default facet settings if they need to do so. But we don't want to add a preset, as it
seems the preset population got quickly out of control in the past and we want to avoid
that problem again.
These fixes should be applied to the 3.1.x (once it's open for commits) and trunk.

In the new patch, it will determine the Eclipse compiler level and set Java facet version
accordingly. in original ESB project wizard, it also tied to keep the synchronization
between project java facet version and the Eclipse compiler level, just because WTP does
something wrong, so only after you changed the ESB version back and forth, then the java
facet version will be updated to the correct one.

ESB project creation wizard defaults the version of jst.java facet to be "5.0",
there should be a *Modify* button at the first page of the wizard for changing the
project facets and facet version just like other types of WTP project wizard
