The outcome of my conversation with Ben: * We can not make assumptions about required values because empty values could be a legitimate use case * Owners of https://github.com/jboss-openshift/application-templates were asked to provide sensible defaults for things like source urls * Post 3.0 enhancement to identify required parameters.
