I think perhaps this needs clarification as I was playing with this issue today
(1) If the item contains words delimited by a space ... double-clicking on one word only
highlights one word and you can edit it ... Triple-clicking highlights the entire element
and you can't edit it (I think this is expected behaviour)
(2) If the item contains 1 word like the link items - double-clicking selects only the
text and you can edit it (expected behaviour)
So I think at this point I think I may have misidentified this as a bug.
