to fix this I'd propose to use
.metadata/.plugins/org.jboss.tools.common.projecttemplates/${bundle-version} folder to
copy templates
where ${bundle-version} contains bundle.getVersion() value
if there is .metadata/.plugins/org.jboss.tools.common.projecttemplates/${bundle-version}
folder during projecttemplates startup it should be cleaned up before copying templates
and libs. It needs to keep it from growing because of many developers are using nightly
builds from trunk.

templates and libraries, but also custom ones, added by user in preferences.To use
${bundle-version} folder, we will have to refactor logic to be able to merge data from
several places. It may involve many changes.
Denis, can we instead of that, when downloading versioned *.jar, just remove *.jar with
the same name and another version?

this sounds bad...are we overwriting jars users have chosen to install or is it
"just" jars we bundled previously that now has been updated but is now put under

We do not overwrite user's jars, only previously bundled jars if they are put (by us)
in the same folder. For example, we have two version folders RichFaces3.1 and
RichFaces3.3. If versions in RichFaces3.3 are replaced they will be replaced at JBDS
update, but if it is important, new jars can be put to a new folder like RichFaces3.3.1
and nothing will be overwritten.
