ModeShape Tools can detect if a ModeShape server supports versioning (5.2) or not (5.1) by analyzing the repository information it receives. Randall has described this in more detail in SOA-3044. I've finished and checked-in the code into the the 3.2.1 and trunk branches (work done under JBIDE-8242). I've tested this in a development environment using both a ModeShape 2.5.0.Final server and a ModeShape server that does not support versioning but not with any SOA/EDS kits.
