Martin Malina updated JBDS-3441:
--------------------------------
Summary: Installer should prevent user from installing JBDS 9.0 with Java other than
Java 8 (was: Installer should require user to select Java 8 to be used to run JBDS 9.0
IDE)
Sorry, but I'm gonna put the old summary back - this JIRA was about requiring java 8
for the installer itself, which I said "-1" to.
The new JIRA is about requiring users to select java 8 or higher for the JBDS
installation: JBDS-3445
Installer should prevent user from installing JBDS 9.0 with Java
other than Java 8
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBDS-3441
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-3441
Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: documentation, installer
Affects Versions: 9.0.0.Beta1
Reporter: Len DiMaggio
Assignee: Denis Golovin
Fix For: 9.0.0.Beta1
If we only support running the JBDS 9.0 IDE with Java 8, then the installer should
prevent the user from installing with older versions of Java. Thx!
