Do we really need to have the user select the type and version ? The installer should have the intelligence to find out what type and version it is based on location of server installation. User would only need to enter location and name. If the installer cannot recognize it as one of the type supported, then the error message should pop up and block the user from proceeding. Additionally the installer can have additional non selectable labels below to indicate to the user what the type of server and versions are. So, instead of selectable "Type" radio buttons and "Version" list box, I recommend adding the following labels. "JBoss Middleware Platform Type: ............." "Platform Version: ......" Based on the intelligence gathered from the server location, the above fields could be filled with the right type.
