Max Andersen resolved JBDS-1438.
--------------------------------
Resolution: Done
fixed, it now has the following text:
"JBoss Developer Studio works with Java 6 and has been tested with OpenJDK, Sun and
Apple JDK."
Wrong installation instruction on the JDK page
----------------------------------------------
Key: JBDS-1438
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-1438
Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: installer
Affects Versions: 4.0.0.Beta2
Environment: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
jbdevstudio-macosx-cocoa-4.0.0.v201012021737R-H23-Beta2.jar
Reporter: Martin Malina
Assignee: Max Andersen
Fix For: 4.0.0.CR1
During the installation on the page where you choose the JDK to use, the text reads:
JBoss Developer Studio works with 6 and has been tested with Open JDK and Sun JDK.
Please note that JBoss EAP 5 requires Java 6 or higher.
1) There is a typo - works with 6 what? I suppose it was meant to be Java 6
2) It gives you the impression that nobody tested it with Apple JDK at all. Apple JDK
should be included in the text.
So I propose this text:
JBoss Developer Studio works with Java 6 and has been tested with Open JDK, Sun JDK and
Apple JDK.
Please note that JBoss EAP 5 requires Java 6 or higher.
