Jay Balunas commented on JBIDE-4594:
------------------------------------
Building, deploying, and running photo-album demo on AS 5.1.0.
These are the steps needed to deploy the photo-album demo to AS 5.1
* Download richfaces-examples-3.3.1.GA.zip
-
http://jboss.org/downloading/?projectId=jbossrichfaces&url=http://dow...
* Extract the zip file
* Install JBoss AS 5.1.0.GA for JDK 5
* Start AS 5.1
* Deploy "richfaces-examples-3.3.1.GA
examples/photoalbum/dist/photoalbum-ear-3.3.1.GA.ear" file to the default/deploy
directory of the AS 5.1 installations.
* Give it some time to deploy
* Navigate to "http://localhost:8080/photoalbum/index.seam"
-----------------------
The distribution zip also contains all of the source, docs, and functional tests for this
example as well. This is a maven based example as you will see under the /source
directory (there is also a readme.txt with details, and build instructions). This means
that you will need to do some integration work so that it conforms to the JBDS formats,
and conventions. I would recommend starting with is mvn generated eclipse project.
Add Project Examples that will work with EAP 5.0

Key: JBIDE-4594
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBIDE-4594
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: project-examples
Reporter: Max Rydahl Andersen
Assignee: Snjezana Peco
Fix For: 3.0.2.GA, 3.1.0.M3
We have been asked if we could add some project examples that runs on EAP 5.0 the same
way we have done for EAP 4.x. (These can't use Maven yet since that is first in
3.1.x/trunk that is supported)
The Richfaces foto example have been suggested (I've asked Jay, to comment on this
issue on where/how to get it).
Some of the Seam examples should be doable on EAP 5 too
