However, I can't open the correctly encoded UTF-8 xml file. Simply removing the line would not work because the default XML encoding is UTF-8 and the file is actually in Shift-JIS. There isn't any problem when I'm accessing the xml file only from the Eclipse plugin, however, if I want to use an XML editor to edit the file, my Japanese characters do not come out correctly (similar to when I view the file in Firefox).
