[JBoss JIRA] (TEIID-5545) Odata V4 Batch processing does not work as teiid/olingo rejects "Accept: multipart/mixed" request header

Well, hopefully you will soon. My plans are to get it up till end of Q2 :) Once I know that everything is working smoothly in my OpenShift cluster, I will provide a tutorial and share the entire configuration. In the meantime I am getting convinced that the combination Teiid, Keycloak, OpenUI5 and Cordova is a perfect match for each startup :)
Regarding the earlyRequests I will try to find some more information. Unfortunately from the logs I can only see that OpenUI5 tries to send a HEAD request. As this is not allowed, OpenUI5 simple skips the preload. Hence, I do not know what would come afterwards.

> The result of this discussion was, that the header is valid for the send content. As I am no expert in the topic I do not really have an opinion on that. However,
> https://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc1341/7_2_Multipart.html
> suggests that the header is required. So I am not sure if it is correct or an error to reject the message. However, if Olingo can process the content, it would be great to have a fix for the accept header, or alternatively a config option to enable handling of the Accept header in a way that Olingo processes these data.

I do not remember seeing the "earlyRequests" in OData spec, but I could be wrong. Either case, I do not mind supporting it in Teiid if it does not violate the spec in any manner. If you can open up JIRA with complete details of request/response that is OpenUI5 is expecting that would be useful.

Congratulations! yeah, little persistence goes long way. I would love to see a video of your app sometime.

Hello Ramesh,
very great news!!!! The Olingo update did work and OpenUI5 is now smoothly running in batch mode, at least my first tests look like this :)
I am wondering, if there might be a chance to get you interested in extending the Olingo behavior to support the early request feature of OpenUI5 as well. Then the entire OData V4 functionality of OpenUI would be supported.
The early request feature seems to be a HEAD request which is send as soon as the model is instantiated to async cache the metadata file/ files of the service for faster loading of SPAs. The feature is described here:
https://sapui5.hana.ondemand.com/#/api/sap.ui.model.odata.v4.ODataModel
Search in the constructor for "earlyRequests?".
What I do not know is, if this feature is part of the official OData V4 Standard, or if this is a SAP feature.
Once again, thanks for your help! Seems like I can really build an enterprise quality app with open source components alone :)

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIID-5584) Add/change resource limitation to be reactive to out of disk
by Steven Hawkins (Jira)
Steven Hawkins created TEIID-5584:
-------------------------------------
Summary: Add/change resource limitation to be reactive to out of disk
Key: TEIID-5584
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIID-5584
Project: Teiid
Issue Type: Quality Risk
Components: Query Engine
Reporter: Steven Hawkins
Assignee: Steven Hawkins
Fix For: 12.0
Even with tweaks to the behavior of setting hard limits for a single buffer and all session memory consumption - they are not a great way of dealing with over consumption of resources. Heap memory usage is already pretty well subdivided based upon reserve limits, the max processing setting, max active plans, etc. It would be best to simply react to the out of disk event by victimizing the session consuming the most resources.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIID-2052) Add Problem/Resolution to query problem using the query plan
by Van Halbert (Jira)
Van Halbert reassigned TEIID-2052:
----------------------------------
Assignee: Steven Hawkins (was: Van Halbert)
> Add Problem/Resolution to query problem using the query plan
> ------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: TEIID-2052
> URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIID-2052
> Project: Teiid
> Issue Type: Enhancement
> Components: Documentation
> Affects Versions: 7.7.1
> Reporter: Van Halbert
> Assignee: Steven Hawkins
> Priority: Optional
> Fix For: 12.x
>
> Attachments: INClauseNotPushedDown.odt
>
>
> Adding content that could be used for query problem resolution. The initial attachment does the following:
> - states the query problem (i.e., not pushing down the "IN" clause)
> - provides the query plan (and debug log) for the query being submitted
> - provides recommendations for resolving the problem
> - then indicates how this problem was resolved and what the resulting query plan / debug log
> The idea here is to continue to add other problem scenarios so that this information is really useful for resolving issues.
