Beyond this for full processing, we'd need something like:
jsoncast - which could take a json and cast to one of the known types (string, boolean,
decimal, or an array of those)
jsontable - which could iterate on a context item and extract columns based upon paths.

Currently in Teiid in order to turn a JSON document to a relational structure, JSONTOXML
function is used then XPATH used on it to retrieve data using XMLTABLE.
Investigate the feasibility of using JSONPATH [1] directly on JSON document to build a
JSONTABLE construct.
