[JBoss JIRA] (TEIID-3460) Alternative approach to map roles for a Teiid user via ldap login module instead of RoleMappingLoginModule(ie.with out using properties file )
by Anu Saji (JIRA)
Anu Saji created TEIID-3460:
-------------------------------
Summary: Alternative approach to map roles for a Teiid user via ldap login module instead of RoleMappingLoginModule(ie.with out using properties file )
Key: TEIID-3460

<module-option name="rolesProperties">props/ldap-eds-rolemapping.properties</module-option>

~~~
Is there a way around not using the RoleMappingLoginModule (to avaoid usage of properties file )
Instead use something similar to the declaration in a "web.xml" towards role mapping like below ?
~~~
<auth-constraint>
<role-name>TeiidAdmin</role-name>
</auth-constraint>
...
<security-role>
<role-name>TeiidAdmin</role-name>
</security-role>

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIID-3459) How to avoid restart of servers after updating the roles teiid-scurity-roles.properties file
by Anu Saji (JIRA)
Anu Saji created TEIID-3459:
-------------------------------
Summary: How to avoid restart of servers after updating the roles teiid-scurity-roles.properties file
Key: TEIID-3459
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIID-3459
Project: Teiid
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: Server
Affects Versions: 8.7
Environment: DV6.1
Reporter: Anu Saji
Assignee: Steven Hawkins
When we deploy VDBs and add or update data roles in the teiid-security-roles.properties, it is not taking into effect though VDB deploys automatically and doesn't required restart whereas changes in the teiid-security-roles.properties requires server restart.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIID-3431) replace bittronix in the examples with ironjacamar
by Steven Hawkins (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIID-3431?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin... ]
Steven Hawkins commented on TEIID-3431:
---------------------------------------
I think we have evolved a bit in what we are looking for here. Perhaps the simplest thing to do would be to have an example that shows our integration with a transaction manager. That could be bitronix, ironjacamar, or an example for both. For now we'd want to keep the runtime free of dependencies on ironjacamar.

> The usage of bittronix in the examples should be replaced with jboss projects. This could be taken further to offer an embedded kit that includes transactionmanager functionality.
