Paul Nittel reopened TEIID-1995:
--------------------------------
Query testing with JDK 1.7 has caused these queries, which previously failed with
exceptions, to pass. Here are the queries and their new results.
SELECT HOUR({ts '2011-09-07 24:00:00'}) -- 0
SELECT MINUTE({ts '2011-09-07 24:00:00'}) -- 0
SELECT MONTH({ts '2011-02-29 00:03:00'}) -- 3
SELECT MONTHNAME({ts '2011-1-07 00:03:00'}) -- January
SELECT SECOND({ts '2011-11-07 13:23:60'}) -- 0
Re-opening so the validation process can be re-evaluated.
Misleading error message
------------------------
Key: TEIID-1995
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIID-1995
Project: Teiid
Issue Type: Quality Risk
Components: Query Engine
Affects Versions: 7.7
Reporter: Steven Hawkins
Assignee: Steven Hawkins
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 7.7.1, 8.0
Newer vms validate Date/Time values as part of the parsing routine, however our logic
only expects the parse to fail if there is an invalid format. Thus the error message may
be misleading on newer vms.
