Problem adding JPA facet to maven project

IMPORTANT NOTE: I can only access the internet with IE. Not with eclipse. Not with any git client. If you answer, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not .suggest anything that involves the eclipse marketplace or any update or install sites. (can you tell I've been down that path before. :-) ). Thanks in advance If this is not a JBDS issue, please point me in the right direction. I just downloaded JBDS 7.1.0 GA so I would have the latest version. I imported a simple maven project with only hibernate core as a dependency. Once it's imported I want to add JPA 2.0 facet. Attempt #1: I went into Project Facets and select Java facet 1.6 (it was 1.4 by default) and JPA 2.0. I clicked on Targeted Runtimes tab and select jboss-eap 6.1 runtime. I clicked on "further configuration available" link and it took me to the JPA configuration page where I selected Hibernate 2.0 for platform and under JPA Implementation selected Library provided by targeted runtime. I told JPA Facet to use maven dependencies which are in class path. Setting up datasource in JBoss

Hello, I am new to JBoss. I downloaded JBoss Developer Studio JBoss Enterprise Application Platform - Version 6.2.0.GA I am trying to setup MySQL as datasource and it is not able to recognize my XML. I copied mysql-connector-java-5.1.30-bin.jar in jboss-eap\standalone\lib directory. Then I placed mysql-ds.xml in jboss-eap\standalone\deployments directory. Following is the content of mysql-ds.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <datasources> <datasource> <jndi-name>java:/DefaultDS</jndi-name> <connection-url>jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/test</connection-url> <driver-class>com.mysql.jdbc.Driver</driver-class> <user-name>root</user-name> <password>test1102</password> <valid-connection-checker-class-name>org.jboss.resource.adapter.jdbc.vendor.MySQLValidConnectionChecker</valid-connection-checker-class-name> <metadata> <type-mapping>mySQL</type-mapping> </metadata> </datasource> </datasources> When I restart JBoss server from my JBDevStudio. Developer Studio does not regognize all Maven Dependencies

Hello, Developer Studio 7.1.1 GA under Windows 7 I have setup a project using jboss-javaee6-webapp archetype as described in Schießer, Schmollinger: Workshop Java EE 7 One of the programming problems in the book involves sending Java Mail. Looking at the effective POM in the IDE I see <dependency> <groupId>javax.mail</groupId> <artifactId>mail</artifactId> <version>1.4.4</version> </dependency> (although Java Mail is not part of the JEE web profile ?) So I tried to use classes form javax.mail, but these classes are not included by the IDE in the classpath. When I manually add the imports and run mvn clean package the project is build from the console, although the IDE still shows errors. I have tried cleaning the project and mvn eclipse:eclipse. Jboss DevStudio 7.1.1.GA install failure - certificate error

1. Downloaded jbdevstudio-product-eap-universal-7.1.1.GA-v20140314-2145-B688.jar 2. Ran java -jar jbdevstudio-product-eap-universal-7.1.1.GA-v20140314-2145-B688.jar stuck to the defaults and clicked thru 3. Install failed with an error re certificates not being trusted 4. Log message in ~/jbdevstudio/studio/p2/director/configuration/1396752621141.log as follows: !ENTRY org.eclipse.equinox.p2.engine 8 0 2014-04-06 08:21:42.061 !MESSAGE One or more certificates rejected. Cannot proceed with installation. System details: Debian Jessie 64 bit $ uname -a: Linux Name 3.13-1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.13.7-1 (2014-03-25) x86_64 GNU/Linux $ java -version java version "1.7.0_51" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.4.5) (7u51-2.4.5-2) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.51-b03, mixed mode) Any suggestions? Softlink path for Jboss Soa 5.3.1 deploy folder is failing to modify/deploy existing services.

Hi, I am using Jboss Soa 5.3.1 in our product. i have configured softlink for deploy path(my actual deploy path is /opt/hp/*sdppe*/Jboss_Soa5.3.1/jboss-as/server/production/deploy and created softlink current(softlink name) for sdppe so now deploy path will be /opt/hp/*current*/Jboss_Soa5.3.1/jboss-as/server/production/deploy) is configured in run.conf.
