JBossDevStudio 8 with EAP - Error on startup

Last week I downloaded and installed JBoss Developer Studio with EAP, to develop an EE web application on Openshift.com for personal use. JBDevStudio version is 8.0.0.GA-v20141020-1042-B317 I have experienced since problems when launching it. It often crashes for apparently random reasons and with no particular conditions on my pc just after double clicking on the icon on start menu. When it crashes, it reports the following status: Image:exit-status.jpg Then, unexpectedly, some rare times, it succeeds to start, reporting a null pointer exception in a window (but correctly working after i close that window). What could be the problem? If you need other technical details to help me please ask and i'll search for them ASAP. I'm stuck right now. Thanks a lot. Debugging Ionic Project With CordovaSim and Livereload

I have a Cordova project using the Ionic framework that has been imported into JBoss Developer Studio 8.0.2. CordovaSim will connect to the livereload server but doesn't seem to be picking up any changes. Should this be working? Jboss Tools JPA validator bug

Using @ElementCollection annotation causes false positive validation errors, such as "entity name is empty", "class not marked as embeddable" etc. Seems similar to this old bug: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-16016 I'm attaching a simple Eclipse project that reproduces the errors. Manage remote EAP server from JBDS 8.0.2

Hello, I'm using JBDS 8.0.2. I have a remote EAP 6.3.1 server which accepts EAP CLI commands at the following socket: docker1.ose.opentlc.com:10999 . From my local workstation, i can manage this remote EAP server with no issues: $JBOSS_HOME/bin/jboss-cli.sh --controller=docker1.ose.opentlc.com:10999 --connect --user=myuser --password=mypassword The EAP JVM is containerized in docker. The docker container does not expose an ssh service. This docker container is running on a a RHEL7 host (docker1.ose.opentlc.com). The RHEL7 host does include an ssh server. I'm wondering if its possible to manage this remote dockerized EAP JVM container from my local JBDS 8.0.2 ?? In general, it seems that JBDS is capable of managing remote EAP hosts . However, it appears that ssh to the operating system that the EAP JVM is running on (in my case the docker container that does not expose ssh) is a requirement. Jboss Tools JAX-RS issue in Eclipse

Hi Am running Eclipse Luna (4.4.1) with the latest JBoss Tools (have checked updates and there are none). FYI this is on Fedora 21 with the standard openJDK from the repos and Wildfly 8.2.0. I've even tried adding the above mentioned lucene JAR to Eclipse's bootpath but that hasn't helped either. Does the JAR file need to be present in the workspace/.metadata/.plugins folder as well (it's not there at present). Any advice would be much appreciated! TIA.
