JBossDevStudio 8 with EAP - Error on startup

Last week I downloaded and installed JBoss Developer Studio with EAP, to develop an EE web application on Openshift.com for personal use. JBDevStudio version is 8.0.0.GA-v20141020-1042-B317 I have experienced since problems when launching it. It often crashes for apparently random reasons and with no particular conditions on my pc just after double clicking on the icon on start menu. When it crashes, it reports the following status: Image:exit-status.jpg Then, unexpectedly, some rare times, it succeeds to start, reporting a null pointer exception in a window (but correctly working after i close that window). What could be the problem? If you need other technical details to help me please ask and i'll search for them ASAP. I'm stuck right now. Thanks a lot. Problem adding JPA facet to maven project

IMPORTANT NOTE: I can only access the internet with IE. Not with eclipse. Not with any git client. If you answer, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not .suggest anything that involves the eclipse marketplace or any update or install sites. (can you tell I've been down that path before. :-) ). Thanks in advance If this is not a JBDS issue, please point me in the right direction. I just downloaded JBDS 7.1.0 GA so I would have the latest version. I imported a simple maven project with only hibernate core as a dependency. Once it's imported I want to add JPA 2.0 facet. Attempt #1: I went into Project Facets and select Java facet 1.6 (it was 1.4 by default) and JPA 2.0. I clicked on Targeted Runtimes tab and select jboss-eap 6.1 runtime. I clicked on "further configuration available" link and it took me to the JPA configuration page where I selected Hibernate 2.0 for platform and under JPA Implementation selected Library provided by targeted runtime. Dashboard HTTP status 404 /dashboard/j_security_check ERROR

Hi Alls, I created a new role defined into WEB_INF/web.xml file. but while I tried to logon the dashboard I was getting HTTP status 404 /dashboard/j_security_check. Does anyone have any idea about this? JBDS 8.0.GA - Can't update

Hello, I'm using JBDS 8.0 on a Windows 7 64 workstation. The IDE notifies me that there are updates. I'm doing Check Updates and, as a matter of fact, there are updates. I accept to update/install, I accept the conditions and the security warning and, after several minutes, I get the following error: An error occurred while uninstalling session context was:(profile=jbds, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Uninstall, operand=[R]com.jboss.devstudio.core.package.executable.win32.win32.x86_64 8.0.0.GA-v20141020-1042-B317 --> null, action=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.touchpoint.natives.actions.CleanupzipAction). Backup of file d:\jbdevstudio\studio\jbdevstudio.exe failed. File that was copied to backup could not be deleted: D:\jbdevstudio\studio\jbdevstudio.exe Additionally, the following error appears as well: Some sites could not be found. See the error log for more detail. No repository found at https://devstudio.redhat.com/updates/8.0-development/central/core/. No repository found at https://devstudio.redhat.com/updates/8.0/central/core/. which is really weird as these sites are supposed to be the central updates sites for JBDS 8. I can't create Web Service from EJB in JBoss Developer Studio

I tried to create a web service from EJB with help of JBoss Developer Studio but got an error "Could not load class ... Did you specify a valid --classpath?"(represented in the attachment). Image:Error1.jpg I have EJB project which contains AccountServiceBean. I used bean's context menu item "WebServices->Create Web Service" to initiate the creation process. Image:MenuItem.jpg Image:Dialog1.jpg Image:Dialog2.jpg It looks as wsprovide tool of JBoss EAP is used for Web Service generation and it can't find the class AccountServiceBean. To the moment I have not found a way to make the bean visible to the tool. I broke my head trying to resolve the problem I hope somebody faced the problem already and found a solution. Hello World not working

I don't know why people want to release a product with its Hello World not able to work at all. It's not working because the download of Maven repository always fails. I have tried it for several days without 1 success. So a mechanism never works, for whatever reason you may always make excuse your repository does not have enough bandwidth.
