Why are we still using internal urls on download page instructions ?

Hi, Just came by http://www.jboss.org/tools/download/stable/3_0_GA and noticed our instructions still says: Rather than unpacking the zips below, you can install this release by pointing Eclipse at http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/JBossTools-3.0.3.GA vs Rather than unpacking the zips below, you can install this release by pointing Eclipse at http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/stable/helios/ ? Telling users to point to a fixed URL which never will see updates is wrong AFAIK and I thought we extinguished those long time ago in public instructions ? /max

Where did http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/builds/stable/ disappear to ?

Hi, just got this on twitter: Hi @jbosstools when I try to update my Jboss Tools for Eclipse(Helios) it just fail "No repository found at http://t.co/F9fFTK13." And when I look at http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/builds/stable/ I can see that it is no longer containing the proper metadata for helios. What happened? I've opened https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-11352 p.s. this is yet another reason why I'm so worried about anything relying on updatesites as the only way to define its build :) /max

Who uses .target file?

Hi all, This is an important question for us. Nick and I are now convinced that .target files are not the panacea to drive dependency management at build time. It adds a lot of additional steps and it does not work that easily in the Maven way. We are thinking of some alternatives way to provide a "dependency" repository that would contain only the necessary stuff for you to work on your component. Then we'll just manage this repository instead of a .target file, it should make our daily work better and remove lot of complexity. So we more and more think this .target file is useless, and we'd like to get rid of it (uselessness is bad). But before that, we'd like to know whether some of you do use the generated .target file. If yes, we'll have to think on a better way to make everyone happy. https://svn.jboss.org/repos/jbosstools/trunk/bpmn has been deleted.
