Please be careful about adding new plugin dependencies

by Max Rydahl Andersen

Heya, So while Marshall and I had "fun" testing our updatesite for jboss tools we suddenly started seeing the seam plugins not loading. It turns out that seam.core declares a dependency on jpt.ui and jpt.core in the plugin, but not in the feature.xml which then makes the updatesite useless (for the seam plugins at least) Furthermore it looks like we have this dependency without no good reason (I found zero dependencies on it and jpt is also not listed) We can "hack" us around it on the update site for now; but *please* don't just add unused plugins to plugin.xml...and if they are used *remember* to update the corresponding feature.xml too! Thanks, Max

by Max Rydahl Andersen

Guys - please don't commit code without a reference to a jira; *especially* when we are trying to finalize for a release! Thanks! /max

codefreeze

by Max Rydahl Andersen

Hi, Just fyi... We are currently doing smoke-testing on i-builds on RHDS and verifying if we are ready for a beta2. This means that trunk should not be committed to if it is not something that should be put in the next release. You can see in jira for rhds and jbide what things are still missing. /max

Updating doc tasks fixed date

by Max Rydahl Andersen

Hi doc team, I've cleaned up jira for tasks that was targeted for rhds beta2/jboss tools beta4 but can or has to be moved to CR1. Could you please do the same for the doc tasks you won't complete for beta2/beta4 ? Thanks, /max
