Steps to install the booking project:
1) Download booking, booking-ear, booking-ejb projects using the Project
Examples Wizard
2) copy booking-ear/resources/booking-ds.xml to the
<JBDEV_HOME>\jboss-eap\jboss-as\server\default\deploy directory
3) Set the preference Window>Preferences>JBoss
Tools>Web>Seam>Validator>Statfeul component does not contain @Destroy
method to Warning
4) Add the booking-ear project to the server
Issues :
Step 2 is obliged because deploying *ds.xml files doesn't work after
importing a project
Step 3 is obliged because Seam validator ignores project preferences. I
set the preference at the booking-ejb project level, but that was ignored.
Environment:
JDK 1.5.0_14, JBDS
JBDS 2.0.0.Beta1-R200810291424
Windows XP

Issues :

Sounds like project examples is really good test for our plugins ;)
I recommend everyone to try them out (File > New > Project Examples)
Both issues above should be reported in jira.
#2 is more a feature request (having a marker in .settings to mark a file
as deployable makes sense IMO)
#3 is a bug if it is really ignored.

We need quick fixes for fixing Missing server runtimes, Seam datasource
and Seam runtimes.

Hi Max,
We can create an extension point that would be called after
importing/downloading a project. It would be specific for every project.
For Seam project, we would check if there are server runtime, Seam
datasource and Seam runtime and if not exist, we would start a dialog
that would allow a user to set these values.

Yes - my thoughts exactly.
I wouldn't though say it is project specific. Most of these are basic
checks
of JDT's JDK runtime and WTP runtimes.
It could simply be a set of general quickfixes we run on the imported
projects
which then just check if the issue they can fix is present and provide a
ui for it.
It is a shame that JDT's cleanup function doesn't exist at a project level
instead of only src.
That would fit well here.
