Alexey Kazakov commented on JBIDE-5902:
---------------------------------------
CDI validator seems to work in the same way as any WST validator does.
For example if there is not
<buildCommand>
<name>org.eclipse.wst.validation.validationbuilder</name>
<arguments>
</arguments>
</buildCommand>
in .project then WTP XML editor won't be validated through XSDs. But you use
"Validate" menu to do it manually without having WST builder. This action works
for CDI validation as well.
May be we should add this builder to a project if user enables CDI support? Max, what do
you think? BTW it's the same for Seam validation.
Validation not running on CDI project before I enable JSF support

Key: JBIDE-5902
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBIDE-5902
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: cdi (jsr-299)
Affects Versions: 3.1.0.CR1
Reporter: Max Rydahl Andersen
Assignee: Alexey Kazakov
Fix For: 3.1.1
Not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but I did not get validation errors for my CDI
enabled project before I added JSF support.
CDI validation shouldn't require JSF.
