[JBoss JIRA] Created: (JBIDE-4629) Publishing an EAR project with "In Lib Dir" utility jar results in wrong file structure
by Brett Prucha (JIRA)
Publishing an EAR project with "In Lib Dir" utility jar results in wrong file structure
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-4629
URL: https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBIDE-4629
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: JBossAS
Affects Versions: 3.1.0.M2, 3.0.1.GA, 3.0.0.GA
Environment: Eclipse 3.4 and Eclipse 3.5, Windows Vista
Reporter: Brett Prucha
Assignee: Rob Stryker
Priority: Minor
When publishing an EAR project to a JBoss server the "In Lib Dir" checkbox under the Java EE Module Dependencies of the EAR projects properties is not being applied for utility projects. The jar file created by the utility project is always placed in the root of the EAR folder even if the "In Lib Dir" box is checked. Exporting the EAR project to an EAR archive file results in a compressed archive that properly places the utility jar in the EARs lib folder. Checking the "Deploy projects as compressed archive" checkbox produces an EAR archive that improperly has the utility jar in the root of the EAR as well.

[JBoss JIRA] Created: (JBDS-710) JBoss Server View > XML Config > Ports > choose a file, right-click > Edit File does nothing or opens wrong file
by Nick Boldt (JIRA)
JBoss Server View > XML Config > Ports > choose a file, right-click > Edit File does nothing or opens wrong file
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBDS-710
URL: https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBDS-710
Project: Developer Studio
Issue Type: Bug
Components: servers
Affects Versions: 2.0.0.GA
Reporter: Nick Boldt
First time I tried this, selecting
"JBoss Server View > XML Config > Ports > choose a file, right-click > Edit File "
did nothing. So, I opened this issue in a browser, and went back to verify... now it opens a file, but it's the wrong file - or at least not the file referenced in the view.
File opened is called "server.xml"; file on which I clicked to see the file was:
~/jbdevstudio/jboss-eap/jboss-as/server/default/conf/jboss-service.xml
This may be working as intended, but it's unclear WHY the view is linked to a file which isn't the one mentioned. Usability issue at the very least, if not a functional problem.

[JBoss JIRA] Created: (JBDS-807) "New" dialog breaks after selecting different Seam configuration
by Radoslav Husar (JIRA)
"New" dialog breaks after selecting different Seam configuration
----------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBDS-807
URL: https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBDS-807
Project: Developer Studio
Issue Type: Bug
Components: seam
Affects Versions: 2.0.0.GA
Environment: fc11.x86_64
Reporter: Radoslav Husar
Priority: Minor
Attachments: snapshot1.png
To reproduce,
1/ in the File -> New -> Project dialog select Seam -> Seam Web Project,
2/ switch configuration to eg. JBoss Seam Portlet Project v2.0,
3/ hit back button and
4/ try to create any new project that has not been loaded before results in an empty screen with a single disabled drop-down menu (screenshot attached) rendering the "New" dialog unusable.
Workaround:
restart the dialog or dont use the back button :)
This is a trivial issue however might discover similar issues in the New dialog.
