[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-11192) Offline Support
by Burr Sutter (JIRA)
Burr Sutter created JBIDE-11192:
-----------------------------------
Summary: Offline Support
Key: JBIDE-11192
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-11192
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Reporter: Burr Sutter
Many end-users of JBoss Tools wish to work "offline", something as simple as working on a plane trip without a wifi connection. If the end-user has diligently cached all of his maven dependencies then he should be able to work without a network connection.
Use case scenarios include:
a- JBoss Central archetypes
b- JBoss Perspective File-New project options (matching the key archetypes)
c- jboss-as-plugin for command-line deployment of a project to the running AS instance
d- Deployment via WTP to localhost AS/EAP instance
e- Maven clean, compile, package
f- community & enterprise quickstarts are provided as a .zip, therefore the end-user could have them pre-downloaded and that list could look to local disk prior to the Internet
g- JBoss Central News & Blogs could have a more attractive solution to being offline (screenshot provided)
h- Archetypes that use CDN hosted libraries (e.g. HTML5 & jQuery) could provide an alternative or at least instruction on how to fetch the files and load them locally

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-11222) Single sign on for OpenShift
by Lucia Jelinkova (JIRA)
Lucia Jelinkova created JBIDE-11222:
---------------------------------------
Summary: Single sign on for OpenShift
Key: JBIDE-11222
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-11222
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: openshift
Affects Versions: 3.3.0.Beta1
Reporter: Lucia Jelinkova
Assignee: Andre Dietisheim
Priority: Critical
Fix For: 3.3.0.CR1
At the moment, even if you create an account in the OpenShift Console view and store the credentials, you are forced to verify them during creation of a new application, importing of existing application and creation of a new server runtime. Is it possible to have just "single sign on" similar to the way the team repositories works? It would prompt for password only in case the user didn't store it in secure storage.
There might be of course problem in case there are more accounts. In that case there could be added the possibility to select one from existing accounts.
