[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-2672) Change 64-bit Warning on Early Access
by Nick Boldt (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-2672?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.... ]
Nick Boldt commented on JBDS-2672:
----------------------------------
[~maxandersen] if it's not called "64-bit JBDS" then what would you call the version of Eclipse that's installed into it?
I suppose we could say:
* "JBDS Installer Jar (includes both 32- and 64-bit)" or
* "64-bit Eclipse + JBDS BYOE" or
* "32-bit Eclipse + JBDS BYOE"

> The Visual Page Editor does not run on 64-bit Windows or Mac. While the source editor does work, visual editing & preview do not. If you require this, run the installer with a 32-bit JDK.
> {quote}
> Making readers believe that we do not run on 64-bit OS. The real issue is 64-bit JVMs. A 32-bit JVM on a 64-bit OS is great.
> So, a rewording attempt:
> {quote}
> The Visual Page Editor does not provide visual editing nor preview when run on a 64-bit JVM. However, it does provide visual editing when used on a 32-bit JVM even on a 64-bit Windows or Mac OS X.

Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBDS-2672:
-------------------------------------------
There is nothing called 32 or 64bit JBDS. Why not just put 64 bit JDK and 32 bit JDK on the left side table ?

--------------------------------------
That's a lot easier to understand than the wording so I'll say we put the table in if we can supported by any additional notes you guys think we can/should make. Otherwise I think it's clear enough.

> If you use a 64 bit jdk, the XULRunner parts of JBoss Tools does not load.
> We should look into providing a xulrunner for windows 64 bit.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-14315) handle mockito osgi unfriendly API

Max Rydahl Andersen updated JBIDE-14315:
----------------------------------------
Fix Version/s: 4.1.0.CR1
(was: 4.1.0.Beta2)
> handle mockito osgi unfriendly API
> ----------------------------------

> Key: JBIDE-14315

> The current approach in Locus to add org.mockito.MockitoConfiguration makes our bundle a very custom one, not just a rebundle.
> Need to see if we can get an updated mockito release out or some other way disable mockito's caching behavior.
> The current fix also has multithreading issues since two tests could be running and be toggling mockito classcaching on and off and trigger a racecondition.
