[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-2729) Add mobile web quickstarts for JBoss Central
by Fred Bricon (JIRA)
Fred Bricon commented on JBDS-2729:
-----------------------------------
* should we add *all* quickstarts to central or only a subset (the other subset could be available from the project examples wizard). One concern is : given the current state of Javascript support in Eclipse, we should restrict featured quickstarts to stuff we know Eclipse can handle.
* same question as max : community or enterprise?
* should we feature quickstarts having dependencies on experimental plugins (e.g. JBT aerogear/cordova integration for instance)?

[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-2745) Support installation of Early Access / Experimental / Incubating plugins
by Max Rydahl Andersen (JIRA)
Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBDS-2745:
-------------------------------------------
[~fbricon] supported/tested are today 100% separated - none of them install same bundles. With experimenta/incubating you are installing new/different versions of the plugins already present. Thats where it gets quircky.

>
> It's been suggested that it would be nice to have Central available to install non-GA content. How might this appear?
> [~burrsutter], [~maxandersen], are we talking about:
> * an additional dialog warning users about untested content? (that might be ignored / blindclicked)
> * an additional tab in Central for this type of content (what label would you use?)
> * relabelling the content's feature descriptions / titles / copyright / license terms to be clear it's unstable content? (might be ignored)
> * some other workflow?
> See also JBDS-2068.

-----------------------------------
looks doable. We already have "Supported" and "Tested" connectors. Simply add an "Experimental" one+ some UI magic for visual hints and that should do it.
