Sure, the PR only fixes the layout page ({{standard.jsp}}), but not inner pages:

> Not sure if this is not supported or if it's a bug. Thing is that page is not rendered with style but only very simple. See real output and output in VPE editor.

Yahor Radtsevich updated JBIDE-15362:
-------------------------------------
Steps to Reproduce:
STEP: Download and unpack: https://access.redhat.com/jbossnetwork/restricted/softwareDetail.html?sof...
butions
You can also download it from this JIRA: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-15358
STEP: Import travel project as a maven project
STEP: Deploy the project, go to login page
STEP: Open login.jsp or standard.jsp in VPE Editor, they are just simply rendered
ASSERT: VPE should show more or less the same result as real page
*Update:*
Fixed for layout pages ({{standard.jsp}}), but not for inner pages ({{login.jsp}}) because VPE does not know context in which the page will be rendered.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-2757) Remove java 6 requirement of EAP from installer
by Martin Malina (JIRA)
Martin Malina commented on JBDS-2757:
-------------------------------------
I created this PR https://github.com/jbdevstudio/jbdevstudio-product/pull/52
(In this workflow I cannot properly attach it to this JIRA.)
The PR needs review. I haven't been able to build the installer to test this.
Also, we might not want this in Alpha1, but only master and jbosstools-4.1.x
> Remove java 6 requirement of EAP from installer
> -----------------------------------------------
>
> Key: JBDS-2757
> URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-2757
> Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
> Issue Type: Bug
> Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
> Components: installer
> Affects Versions: 7.1.0.Alpha1
> Environment: OS X Mountain Lion
> Reporter: Martin Malina
> Attachments: ins-step-4.png, ins-step-5.png
>
>
> There are two strings I would like removed from the installer:
> Step 4
> Please note that JBoss EAP 6 requires Java 6 or higher.
> !ins-step-4.png!
> Step 5
> (Java 6 is required to run JBoss EAP 6)
> !ins-step-5.png!
> I think this was added when we still supported running of JBDS with Java 5, but now that JBDS needs Java 6 I think it's not needed to point this out explicitly.
> Also, in Step 4 there's this:
> JBoss Developer Studio works with Java 6 and has been tested with OpenJDK, Oracle and Apple JDK.
> - Here I would add Java 7 to the mix - we test that too.
> And last, EAP should be Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (in Step 5).
