[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-2857) Add OS X Mavericks to the support matrix
by Burr Sutter (JIRA)

Burr Sutter commented on JBDS-2857:
-----------------------------------
[~mmurray]we definitely need to check this box with 7.1.1 - it should be a simple run of the testsuite :-)
> Add OS X Mavericks to the support matrix

> Key: JBDS-2857
> URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-2857
> Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
> Issue Type: Feature Request
> Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
> Components: requirements
> Affects Versions: 7.1.0.CR1
> Reporter: Martin Malina
> Assignee: Len DiMaggio
> Fix For: 7.1.1.GA, 8.0.0.Alpha2
>
>
> I know this comes very late, so you may want to just push this to 8.0.0 immediately.
> However, we've already been testing on Mavericks (I use it every day myself) since it was introduced on October 22, 2013 and have never seen any problem specific to it.
> I only realized we still don't have Mavericks in the matrix today when I checked Michelle's Supported Configurations document.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-16311) release 4.2.0.Alpha1 webtools site to so WTP discovery upstream can find it

-------------------------------------------------------------
If https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=424213 is fixed and we can verify that Luna M4 can find the JBoss Server stuff, then yeah, we can close this.
HOWEVER...
1. download, unpack, and launch eclipse-jee-luna-M4-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz
2. open the Servers view
3. click link for "No servers available. Click this link to create a new" (sic)
4. click link for "Download additional server adapters"
Result - the Kepler version of JBossAS Tools is found, not the Luna version:
{code}
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: JBossAS Tools 2.4.101.Final-v20131206-1843-B159 (org.jboss.ide.eclipse.as.feature.feature.group 2.4.101.Final-v20131206-1843-B159)
Missing requirement: JBoss AS Core Plug-in 2.4.101.Final-v20131206-1843-B159 (org.jboss.ide.eclipse.as.core 2.4.101.Final-v20131206-1843-B159) requires 'bundle org.eclipse.core.runtime [3.7.0,3.10.0)' but it could not be found

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-16373) WS test failures
by Brian Fitzpatrick (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-16373?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugi... ]
Brian Fitzpatrick commented on JBIDE-16373:
-------------------------------------------
We've had some test failures for a while, notably:
{code}
Test Result (4 failures / +4)
org.jboss.tools.ws.creation.core.test.command.JBossWSTopDownCommandTest.testDeployResult
org.jboss.tools.ws.creation.core.test.command.JBossWSJavaFirstCommandTest.testDeployResult
org.jboss.tools.ws.creation.core.test.command.JBossWSClientCommandTest.testClientCodeGenerationCommand
org.jboss.tools.ws.creation.core.test.command.JBossWSMergeWebXMLCommandTest.testMergeWebXMLCommand
{code}
Changed the runtimes we are testing against to JBoss 5.1, applied some updates to tests.
May need to revisit this again down the line, but for now this should make builds and automated tests happier in this area.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBTIS-234) DSL Validation

> When authoring a DLS file you will typically have variable names of the type: "{disabilityType}"=customer: Customer(disabilityType == "{disabilityType}") or something like this. If the Customer object does not exist some sort of problem should be noted in the Problems section. Also a DSL might look like this:
> {percentage}=eval(customer.disabledPercent >= {percentage}) This to is a little harder as the customer is a variable that is implied.

> When I am editing or creating a Domain Specific Language it would be nice to have an Accelerator on the delete key to delete the highlighted line instead of having to click "Remove". It should also be possible to highlight all of them and be able to delete them all, although this might get in the way of what you happens when you click "Edit"
